Soap Deck

These beautiful handmade soap decks are crafted from all reclaimed wood, and are designed and constructed by my father, Gordon, and me. My Dad, 93, was a woodworker for many years, and has over the years saved pieces of some of his nicest woods. And these wonderful pieces are what go into Elochoman Valley Soapworks’ soap decks. Many of the woods used are exotics. Not all can be identified, and no two are exactly alike. Obviously, there’s a limited quantity of these fine additions. I hope you’ll love them as much as I do!
 
A soap dish significantly extends the life of a bar of soap, but did you know that you can also extend the life of your soap dish? Use your soap dishes in pairs. Use one dish for two to three weeks, and then wipe it clean with a damp cloth and set aside to allow it to fully dry. Then use the second dish, again for two to three weeks, while the first dish is drying. Alternating wood soap dishes this way will prevent mold and mildew from developing on your dish, and will greatly extend the life of the dish.
